Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)
opens in a new windowThe Ontario Energy Board (OEB) is helping make electricity more affordable for low-income households. The Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) will provide ongoing assistance directly on the bills of eligible low-income electricity consumers.The amount of the credit depends on two factors:
- how many people live in the home and
- your combined household income
For some consumers, the need to use more electricity is unavoidable. They may receive a higher level of assistance. These are people who rely on electric heat or medical devices as well as First Nation or Métis consumers.
Open to residential customers only, customers must apply to the program. To apply, visit OntarioElectricitySupport.ca and complete the online application. You can also contact our following partners for assistance completing the form:
