Ontario Electricity Rebate (OER)
The Government of Ontario introduced an on-bill rebate in 2019. The Ontario Electricity Rebate (OER) provides eligible customers with a 17% reduction on the amount of their bill before HST (O. Reg 363/16). Most households, small businesses and farms are eligible for the OER.
Effective July 1, 2022, eligibility for OER will be expanded to include three additional account types (see Ontario Electricity Rebate Form for definitions):
1. Common elements in residential multi-unit complexes (such as condominium buildings).
2. Retirement residences
3. Mobile home parks
