Low Income Assistance Program
The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) was created to help families who are struggling to pay their electric bills throughout the year. This one-time financial assistance program of up to a maximum of $500 per year is for residents who qualify as low income, meet program criteria, and are facing the threat of disconnection of service.
Low Income qualification must be supplied to ERTH Power by a qualified agency.
Low Income Customers
The Ontario Energy Board has created new rules when dealing with customers who have limited financial resources. If you qualify as a low income energy customer, you automatically qualify for:
- Waiving and refunding security deposits
- Extended periods to pay under billing adjustments
- Equal payment plan options
- Flexible arrears payment agreements
Low Income qualification(s) must be supplied to ERTH Power by a qualified agency.
Energy Affordability Program New!
The Energy Affordability Program provides support to income-eligible residential customers by helping them to lower their monthly electricity costs and to increase their home comfort. Depending on the situation, customers may receive energy-saving products, a free home energy needs assessment, or free energy saving kits customized to meet specific needs including energy-saving LED light bulbs, timers, faucet aerators and much more.
