Distributed Energy Resource Connections

In Accordance with the Ontario Energy Board’s Distributed Energy Resources Connection Procedure, ERTH Power Corporation is providing the “Generation Connection Information Package” to customers with the information necessary to connect a distributed energy resource to ERTH Power’s distributions system.

Generation Connection Information Package

The package will provide the process, information, applications and documents required to facilitate the DER connection. The Generator Connection Information Package and all supporting documents are available electronically. Proponents may contact ERTH Power for a paper copy of the “Package”. The package will be provided by Canada Post to addresses in Ontario.

Approvals

  • Host distributor connection approvals (managed by ERTH Power)
  • Transmitter connection approvals (managed by ERTH Power)
  • Electrical Safety Authority – Inspection and Connection Authorization
  • Canadian Standards Association – applicable to all equipment installations
  • Applicants are advised to contact the local municipal office for siting restrictions, building codes and other applicable codes and by-laws.
